Chip and Joanna Gaines are switching things up! Just yesterday, the couple announced the birth of their fifth child, a healthy babe male child, with a sweetness tweet from Chip. At present, we're getting our first look at the newest member of the Gaines "crew," who has already broken the family mold in the proper noun department.

Equally Joanna Gaines shared in an Instagram post, their fifth kid has a moniker different either of his ii brothers, Drake, 13, and Duke, 9, or his ii sisters, Ella, 11, and Emmie Kay, 8. Rather than giving their son yet another "D" proper name, equally Chip was admittedly pulling for, the couple chose a new letter — "C."

"Our baby male child, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn't be more in love," Joanna wrote. "He made an unexpected (and speedy) archway into the world two and a half weeks early on — which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from mean solar day one. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers — we are so grateful."

As the Magnolia possessor posted on her blog back in April, her children's excitement has been one of the most exciting things virtually her pregnancy. "The best thing about all of this is the excitement that my kids have shown for their new babe brother," she wrote. "Since I had our first four babies so close to 1 another, none of them actually recall me being significant. They dear my growing belly (and boy is it growing), and they cannot wait to see him. I truly believe this infant is a gift from God for our family in this season."

The mommy of five also shared a heartwarming shot of her four older children posted up exterior her hospital door. "One of my favorite pics a friend showed me later Crew was born," she said. "They couldn't wait to meet their new baby brother."
